Xenia Kourtoglou, as a Keynote Speaker at the “From AI to Z Conference”

Antenna Group and CSII organized the “From AI to Z Conference” on February 23, 2024 at the Athens Intercontinental Hotel.  Top speakers from all relevant sectors—technology, e-commerce, digital marketing, cyber security, as well as a representation of the government’s future strategies team presented the latest AI developments, as well as future applications that AI could have in a wealth of industries, such as manufacturing, health, commerce and services.  Xenia Kourtoglou, Founder of Focus Bari presented a series of survey results conducted by Focus Bari locally and YouGov internationally, capturing the public opinion regarding AI, as well as people’s expectations, intentions and impact they believe that AI will have on society and humanity.

Valeria Tsamis of Focus Bari, General Secretary BoD of the Association of Chief Executive Officers (ACEO/EASE)

The new BoD for ACEO has been formed for the term 2024-2026, following the annual regular General Assembly which tool place on February 21st 2024.

Mr. Υannis Papachristou, CEO Greece, ANTENNA GROUP, was elected as the President of the Board.

ACEO is a merit-based, technocratic, non-profit organization, established in 1986 to represent professional managers and promote leadership issues in Greece. The Association has approximately 500 members who – as BoD Presidents, Executive Vice-Presidents, Chief Executive Officers, General Managers and Chief Operations Officers of large enterprises – have the primary responsibility for the largest and most well-known Greek and multinational companies and public Organizations, with a total turnover of over 62 billion euros and more than 200,000 employees in total. The main purpose of ACEO is to contribute to the improvement of the country’s top management level and the growth of the Greek economy.

Greeks AI & ChatGPT

According to a new  Survey by Focus Bari, which systematically monitors the relationship and opinions of Greeks regarding Artificial Intelligence, it is found that:

  • Two out of three Greeks express a cautious attitude towards the impact that the expanded use of IT will have on society and on our lives
  • Nevertheless, the proportion of Greeks who have a Chat GPT account is constantly increasing, from 21% in July 2023 to 30% in February 2024, and it is used for a multitude of topics of interest, for work and for studies by students.
  • While it is considered an easy-to-use, time & effort-saving tool, Chat GPT users largely find it needs some care in how to use it, as its responses are often simplistic and require verification.
  • Finally, a significant proportion of users fear that Chat GPT is dangerous because it hinders study, thinking, developing judgment and progress

Valeria Tsamis is re-elected President of SEDEA

The members of SEDEA elected the new Board of Directors for the years 2024-2025 during the annual General Assembly meeting, which was held on Wednesday, January 24th  2024.

Valeria Tsamis, Managing Director of FOCUS BARI was re-elected as President of the Board having served in the same position also in 2020-2021 & 2022-2023, as vice-president for 6 years (2014-2019) and being an active Board member since 2003. Her re-election is and honor but also a commitment to continue contributing to SEDEA and his members and to the market research & opinion polling industry in Greece.

The new SEDEA BoD consists of:

  • Angela Stathopoulou (Metron Analysis)– VicePresident
  • Kostas Sigalos (Global Link) – General Secretary

 “AI, Inclusivity, and the Future of Work” was the theme of the highly engaging event organized by the ACEO Task Force for Equal Opportunities in Leadership. The ACEO Board Members Valeria Tsamis, Head of the team, Vice President – Executive Director, Focus Bari, along with the coordinator George Katiniotis, CEO, Acromove, welcomed our members and three distinguished guests: Angeliki Poulymenakou, Professor in the Administrative Information Systems Department at the School of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus and Dean of the School of Business Administration, Jiorgis Kritsiotakis, Managing Director, Accenture and Isidoros Sideridis, CEO, Pobuca. They engaged in a productive discussion about shaping the future of work through recent technological advancements, with a focus on AI. The conversation delved into inclusion-related matters, trends, and best practices aimed at addressing challenges and enhancing inclusion for diverse groups of workers. The event took place at the OTE Academy facilities.

The Coffee Business Awards 2023 ceremony organized by Ethos Media and simultaneously watched via streaming by Live On took place on December 15, 2023 at Apollon Divani Palace Kavouri with great success and 500+ managers of the Cafe chain market and the wider catering sector. Xenia Kourtoglou presented the main trends in coffee buying and consumption habits among the Greek public, as well as the degree of loyalty, selection criteria and criteria for abandoning consumers’ favorite Cafe, emphasizing the enormous importance of service and the overall customer experience.
