– Issue 2: Nationwide Survey by Focus Bari –

Following Issue 1, which documented the large-scale testing of AI and the recognition of its practical value, Focus Bari presents Issue 2 of its nationwide survey on the topic, “Social Impact & Attitudes Toward AI.”
For businesses and society, the findings highlight a significant challenge:
to harness the potential of AI by building trust through clear rules of use, human oversight, and practical support for employees and citizens.
More specifically:
Benefits and risks are evenly balanced.
More than half of Greeks (53%) believe that the social impact of AI will be equally positive and negative, compared to 47% in July 2025.
Curiosity remains strong.
53% of citizens want to experiment with AI tools. Equally widespread is the perception that AI improves daily life.
Human control is at the center of these concerns.
Concerns focus on uncontrolled social changes (64%), the restriction of creativity and judgment (63%), and risks to ethics and privacy (60%).
Three different attitudes toward the same technology.
Critical Realists (38%) make use of technology but call for limits and an institutional framework.
Open-Minded Optimists (35%) see opportunities and explore new AI applications.
Cautious Skeptics (27%) keep their distance, even though most have tried AI tools.
