Focus Bari has attended EMRO conferences for many years and represented Greece among the major players in European media research. Many of the issues EMRO has struggled with, as media becomes more complex, have not been straightforward because media research deals in estimates not absolutes. We have sought the least worst solution in endeavours to improve the estimation of audiences for print, TV and radio and the internet. And we are as close to reality as we can be at the moment. This would not be possible without the probing questions, acceptance of new ideas and their adaptation and implementation. Focus Bari asks these probing questions and. when satisfied. changes its methodologies accordingly, adapting them for the Greek market. By their participation in EMRO they have helped the progress of media research in Europe and brought research experience and integrity to what might otherwise be disorganised chaos.

I do remember as a lucky day the day, some 15 years ago, when a sociologist relation of mine put us in contact with Focus. We were then looking for a research institute able to carry out the increasing number and diversity of qualitative studies on EU related issues which were commissioned to OPTEM by the European Commission and other European organizations, involving Greece among other Member States.
